This Chronicle breaks with our proud tradition of bringing you all the months` news on one page with humor thrown in! The news this month is really BIG and needs the whole newsletter to give you all the information.
Swartland Boudienste (Pty) Ltd, (SBD), is the main trading operation of the Swartland Group of Brands. With effect from 31st August, SBD will purchase Swartland Glass (Pty) Ltd which is the present legal entity operating the business of Col Timbers. From 31st August, Col Timbers will therefore operate under the SBD platform as a separate brand of SBD.
This will affect different customers in different ways depending on
1. Whether you have an existing SBD account or not
2. The geographical location of you business
You either have or you will shortly be receiving a special letter from your customer relationship manager OR via snail mail with all the relevant information pertaining to your business.
In summary the following changes will apply from 31st August 2009
A ALL CUSTOMERS
• Will receive a SBD invoice instead of a Col invoice
• Your account will be managed by the SBD team and all payment or other account queries will be dealt with by Trudie Constance or her team on phone 021- 573 7600
B WESTERN CAPE CUSTOMERS
• Your Col customer relationship manager will continue to service your account without any changes.
• Deliveries will come from the Western Cape Atlantis Distribution Centre as per the SBD delivery schedule you received in your special letter.

• All telesales/fax/e-mail sales related enquiries will be handled by Astrid Jacobs or her team contactable on

C SOUTHERN CAPE, EASTERN CAPE AND BORDER CUSTOMERS
There will be no changes to the way you deal with Col Timbers other than as per A above.
D CUSTOMERS SERVICED BY INGS AGENIES IN BLOEMFONTEIN
We regret that Ings Agencies will no longer represent Col. We thank Daron
and his team for their services these past two years and wish them every
possible success in the future
• The changes as per A above will apply to your account
• Northern Cape Customers will be serviced by the SBD representative presently servicing their account and will receive deliveries with their SBD purchases from the Western Cape DC
• OFS customers will be serviced by the SBD representative presently servicing their account from Johannesburg. They will receive their deliveries on the SBD delivery from the Gauteng DC.

There will be no changes to the way you deal with Col Timbers other than as per A above.

All possible plans have been prepared to ensure that the change over will be smooth and will have no impact on customers at all.
